Lauren studied Computing and specialized in web design for her undergraduate work, but upon graduating, took her portfolio to job interviews and ended up working at a publishing firm as an in-house designer and print production manager. She applied her creativity in-house advertising and marketing materials until she found a well-fit Masters in Fine Arts calling her name at Western Connecticut State University. There Lauren Reeves' illustration took flight and was nurtured to a more defined and strengthened line of work that allowed her to access her drawing and painting creativity along with the design aspects of her work. Lauren's thesis was structured around rescue dog portraiture as well as works for fantasy stories. She has a vast range of mediums that she incorporates into her works, from oil to digital mediums. Her dream-like creatures hide in the deep colour palettes and vivid sources of hidden and brilliant light..

Lauren's main artwork shop for prints, cards and more can be found at Squirrely Scribbles on She formed the shop in 2015 to offer her positivity and creatures to others in a variety of forms. Check out the link here.
